The Spring Equinox symbolises the start of astronomical spring and this year falls on March 20. According to the meteorological calendar, it is already spring, with the season beginning on March 1. Astronomical seasons use the position of the Earth’s orbit in relation to the Sun to pinpoint seasons, whereas meteorological seasons rely on the annual temperature cycle.
The Spring Equinox occurs at the point when the Sun crosses the celestial equator, from south to north. During the Equinox, the day and night are roughly the same length, however, from the Spring Equinox onwards, the day is longer than the night.

It signals new beginnings and nature’s renewal in the Northern Hemisphere! Many cultures celebrate spring festivals, like Easter and Passover.
Observe nature around you!
