Judgement brings an air of common sense into our lives, and the ability to make considered decisions or come to sensible conclusions in affairs of the heart. It is a card of intelligence and adjudication, it usually heralds an ending after a decision has been made, and the hope of a fresh start. This does not necessarily mean the end of a relationship (unless indicated by other cards in the reading) but it does herald major changes or compromise.
In a tarot love reading, the Judgement card can describe a relationship that almost ended, only to be revived at the very last minute. Realisation of the things that are truly important to us brings about a swift change of direction. Judgement can mean that a couple needs to appreciate each other more.
In a way, Judgment is the card of transition from one state to another. Relationships can go from dating to marriage or from dating to endings. The choices we make during this time period will affect the rest of our life and should not be taken lightly. However, too much waiting around weighing up the pros an cons can result in loss.
Sometimes Judgment can signal a life changing opportunity. Decisions around this opportunity will need to be made swiftly because there will be a time limit. Something will happen in the future which will impact our relationship forever. The situations which will come about will be the make or break of our partnership. When this happens, we have to make decisions ourself because the cards can't advise us a course of action at this time.
